What began as a personal passion for the game evolved into a vision to create a tour-level experience for amateur players; an elite golf experience that reignites school pride and brings a new edge to amateur competition.

This isn’t your standard charity scramble. The Classic Tournament blends the high-stakes prestige of PGA Tour events with the culture and community of HBCU homecomings. From elite course conditions to tournament-level structure, players are challenged to bring their best — while experiencing a weekend that’s as elevated as the game itself.
Whether you’re playing for bragging rights, giving back to your university, or simply want to test your game against the region’s best, The Classic Tournament delivers a competitive and cultural experience like no other.
Hosted at the prestigious Belmont Country Club in Ashburn, VA — an exclusive, private course not open to the public — players will tee it up on a championship-level layout designed by the legendary Arnold Palmer. Playing Belmont offers a rare opportunity to enjoy fairways typically reserved for members only, making this event both a competitive and unforgettable golf experience.
There’s more than bragging rights on the line. The top 3 teams will split a cash purse, showcasing the competitive stakes of the event. Additionally, a donation will be made on behalf of the winning team to their HBCU alma mater — continuing the cycle of giving back and investing in future generations of student-athletes.
